In this case, an elderly patient presented with left hip pain.
Standard X-ray imaging of the pelvis and proximal femurs did not demonstrate evidence of fracture.
Nanox.ARC digital tomosynthesis was performed to further evaluate the hips and pelvis, enabling detailed assessment of both hips, including evaluation of bone adjacent to a right hip arthroplasty.
In the right hip, Nanox.ARC images demonstrate minimal metal-related artifact from the existing hip arthroplasty, allowing evaluation of adjacent bony structures that are typically obscured on CT by streak artifact.
