About The Position

Nanox.AI is the deep-learning medical imaging analytics subsidiary of Nanox. We develop AI-driven solutions to target highly prevalent chronic and acute diseases affecting large populations worldwide. Our technology analyzes routine medical CT scans for any clinical indication, helping identify patients with asymptomatic or undetected findings correlated with chronic conditions in cardiac, liver, and bone. By leveraging AI, Nanox.AI helps clinicians extract valuable and actionable clinical insights from medical imaging that otherwise may go unnoticed.

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to help build a cutting-edge, cloud-based system leveraging a microservices architecture. As a Backend Engineer, you will have a significant influence on the system’s design, development, and deployment. While primarily backend-focused, the ideal candidate will also be comfortable contributing to frontend development when necessary, delivering end-to-end solutions. Responsibilities

·        Design, develop, and maintain significant backend features in a microservices environment.

·        Own the full service lifecycle: from architecture and development to testing, CI/CD, and deployment.

·        Work in a cloud-based environment (AWS) using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and GitLab.

·        Optimize performance, troubleshoot production issues, and improve system observability.

·        Collaborate with DevOps engineers, product managers, and algorithm developers daily.

·  Maintain high-quality code, write automated tests, and follow modern development standards.

Requirements

·        B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent.

·        At least 4 years of experience building distributed backend systems, with hands-on Java and Spring Boot development, and a strong background in microservices architecture.

·        Proficient with Docker, as well as container orchestration (Kubernetes, k3s, Docker Compose) including Helm.

·        Experience with security best practices (e.g., OAuth2) and messaging systems like RabbitMQ.

·        Expertise in SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with AWS services (S3, EC2, Lambda).

·        Hands-on experience with GitLab-based CI/CD workflows.

·        Strong architectural thinking, system design skills, a CAN DO approach and ownership self-motivated.

·        Excellent communication skills with a positive, proactive attitude.

·        Angular and TypeScript experience – an advantage.

·        Healthcare domain experience - an advantage.
